How to Prep Your Home for the End of Summer

Posted on on August 28th, 2015

resizeAs we approach the end of summer, it’s time to start thinking about prepping your home for the cooler weather.  Here are a few tips to help you keep your home in good condition as the kids head back-to-school!

Home Prep Tips:

  • Seal Your Windows – Add outdoor caulking and sealing to your windows both inside and outside.  This will help seal any leaks and cracks, making your home more energy efficient before the cooler weather hits.  By sealing any air leaks, you can help save money too!
  • Maintain Your Patio – Wooden decks should be painted and stained as we head into September.  Replace missing bricks and level off any areas where tree roots pushed through during the summer months.  This will help your patio stay in good condition through the fall and even winter months.
  • Update Your Insulation – Home insulation is one of the most important ways to make your home energy efficient as the temperatures drop.  With spray foam insulation, all of the nooks and crannies in your walls are sealed.  This keeps your home a comfortable temperature no matter what the weather is like outside!

Good Experience
"We used Good Life and had a good experience. We did the entire house Tripolymer foam in between the exterior framing. Our energy bills reduced considerably and the noise barrier is great."
