Tips to Help Keep Your Home Cool This Summer

Bright living roomKeeping your home temperature comfortable can be tough on hot and humid summer days.  Here are a few tips to help you cool your home more efficiently and help you save on your utility costs.

Home Cooling Tips:

  •  Check Your Home Insulation – Surprisingly, many homes don’t have sufficient home insulation.  By adding insulation to walls and attic of your home, you can help make your home more energy efficient.  This means that the cool, conditioned air that your air conditioning system works hard to cool down won’t escape through the cracks and gaps in your walls.
  • Avoid Cooking Indoors – Your oven can heat up your kitchen.  Instead, use the outdoor bbq or opt for cool, summer salads instead.
  • Add Window Coverings – If you’re not home during the day, close your windows and window coverings.  This will help keep your home cool for as long as possible throughout the day.

Payback Is Twice What You Predicted!
"They are all very cautious and conscientious of the property being insulated, are friendly and work fast. Their rates are right in line or lower than their competitors. What more can you ask for? Nice work guys, we have already had people asking why our old home doesn't feel so drafty anymore, and my payback is absolutely twice what you predicted. Bravo, GoodLife!"

-Brian M. Newtown, CT
