Humidity Reduction Tips:

  • Use a Dehumidifier – Dehumidifiers are a great way to remove moisture from the air, especially in basements during the summer months.
  • Cook Carefully – Cook by using covered pots rather than letting the boiling water evaporate into the air.  You can also use an exhaust fan to help remove the humidity from the air after cooking.
  • Take Shorter Showers – Taking shower showers will help keep moisture out of the air. You can also open a window or turn on your exhaust fan after a hot shower to remove humidity from the air.
  • Update Your Home Insulation – Home insulation helps keep warm, humid summer air out of your home and cool conditioned air indoors.  By preventing air exchange, you can keep your home cool.
