Eco-Friendly Home Tips:

  • Seal Leaky Windows – Windows can be a big source of energy loss in your home.  Make sure that your windows are sealed to prevent warm, humid summer air from getting indoors.  This will help keep your home comfortable and keep your air conditioning system from working as hard on hot days.
  • Add Insulation – Many older homes don’t have proper insulation in their walls, attics and crawl spaces.  Check to see if your home is properly insulated.  Spray foam insulation can even be added to your existing insulation to further improve your home’s energy efficiency and reduce solar heat gain during the summer.
  • Install a Programmable Thermostat – Programmable thermostats keep your home cool when you need it, and help you save energy while you’re away at work!
